The oraima Ice Maker Countertop 812A supports two refill methods: a direct water hookup or manual filling. This flexibility makes it convenient to use based on your setup.
Before First Use: Important Reminders
- Carefully read the user manual prior to operating the device.
- Allow the ice maker to stand upright for at least two hours before the initial use to let the refrigerant settle.
- Upon plugging it in for the first time, the machine will automatically run an 8-minute self-cleaning process.
Water Refill Guidelines
To extend the lifespan of your countertop ice maker, it’s recommended to use soft water, such as distilled or purified water. Alternatively, you can connect it to a water filtration system.
Regular Cleaning Schedule
For the best-tasting nugget ice, perform self-cleaning using an ice maker cleaner or white vinegar at least once a week. Activating the self-cleaning function is as simple as pressing “CLEAN” for three seconds to start an 8-minute cycle.
Noise Levels – Is It Normal?
Like all ice makers, the oraima Ice Maker contains mechanical components (such as the condenser and compressor) that may produce noise. However, to mitigate this, our models, including the OIM-812A, feature sound-absorbing materials to reduce operational noise.
Storing Nugget Ice Tips
For optimal freshness, we advise using the timer preset feature. If you wish to store nugget ice in the refrigerator, placing it in a double brown paper grocery bag will help absorb excess moisture and prevent ice from clumping together.
